These are the rules for using GradGallery. By claiming a page, posting a photo, or signing someone’s yearbook, you’re agreeing to them.

Your page is yours

You keep ownership of the photos and words you post. You give us permission to show them on GradGallery, which is the whole point of putting them here. You can take your content down at any time, and deleting your account returns your page to the unclaimed state it started in. See our privacy page for what that means in detail.

Only post photos you took or have the right to use, and only post photos of other people if they’re happy to be shown.

One page per person

A GradGallery page represents one real graduate. Don’t claim a page that isn’t yours, don’t create a second page for yourself, and don’t vouch for someone you don’t actually know to be who they say they are. Vouching is how the whole system decides who’s real, so vouching dishonestly breaks it for everyone.

What isn’t allowed

These are also the reasons anyone can report a page, photo, or signature:

• Pretending to be someone else.
• Content that shows the wrong person.
• Content that’s inappropriate or offensive.
• Sharing something private about someone without their consent.

On top of that: don’t harass people, don’t upload other people’s class lists without permission from the class, and don’t try to break, overload, or work around the limits of the site.

Class representatives

If you import a class list, you’re telling us you have your class’s agreement to do it. Every name you add becomes a page with that person’s name on it, so treat the list as something you owe them accuracy on. Anyone on a list you import can have their page removed without signing up.

Taking content down

We can remove any page, photo, signature, or album, and we can suspend an account, when something breaks these rules. We can also pause new uploads to a page while we look into a report about it.

We’d rather fix than delete, so where it’s reasonable we’ll tell you what the problem is first. Where it isn’t, we act first. Report anything that needs our attention with the report option on the page itself.

The service itself

GradGallery is provided as it is. We’re a small team, things break, and we can’t promise the site is always available or that nothing will ever be lost. Keep your own copies of photos that matter to you.

Nothing on GradGallery charges you anything today. If that changes, we’ll say so clearly before it applies to you.

Changes

If we change these rules we’ll update this page and change the date at the top. Carrying on using GradGallery after that means the new version applies.
